Food: More than enough, fresh, all the temperatures were right, great taste, fun presentation
Service: Fun, personable, prompt
Downside: It was not made clear when things offered would lead to additional charge. We didn’t mind the additional expense, but did find that a bit off-putting to have it sneak up on us.
What we got
We had a special that’s not listed on the website, unfortunately. Essentially two items of everything they serve. Add-ons — pina coladas for us each, one of them balanced on the restaurant owner’s head! We also added a shrimp cocktail.
We waddled out of the restaurant, having left more than 30% of the food in the “boat,” un-tasted. It was a great meal and experience, and David said we’d picked well, so they apparently have a good reputation among the locals. They’ll be part of our future Mazatlan plans!
