Today, as you’ve seen already, has been an unexpectedly special day. As I sit looking out over the wake on this clear, pleasant evening I don’t think I could be happier with the choice we made to book this trip.
In addition to the surprise meeting with Avelino we met some folks I think will become long-term friends. Scott & Sandra are from northern California. He’s a retired law enforcement officer, she’s still working for a state government department. They are one of the couples going on our small group tour in Halifax Friday.
Encore sailed late, I’m not sure why. But we were able to make a pretty good thing of it with some unexpected dusk video of the skyline.
Dinner was at Cagney’s, our tradition. I’ll review that separately, but will say it was superb as expected.
Avelino and Akim conspired to give us an unexpected surprise during the evening…thank you gentlemen! And the conversation was great! We’ve not dined with others often while sailing, may do some more of that 🙂
