This hotel is in a convenient location and it’s very quiet considering its proximity to the airport. After the long traffic delay 90 minutes west of here yesterday we came in and crashed…hard.
The bed is firm, yet soft. I found the pillows comfortable, which says a lot. Usually they are like Goldilocks pillows, either too soft or too hard.
I lowered the rating for two reasons:
A) when we stepped off the elevator there was a very odd smell…maybe raw sewage? I’m not sure. And a maintenance panel was open that exposed a raceway to the first floor or further…a hazard for children.
B) While it seems like having a motion detector in the foyer so no lights are left on when the room is empty would be a good idea, it really only works for those who sleep all night. Being blinded by the light and waking the other person every time you waddle to the bathroom…not so great.
We haven’t had breakfast yet, but I know about what to expect as Choice hotels is our usual set of brands. On the road in an hour!
